Jesse Thompson is a passionate and dedicated graphic designer whose career has been shaped by a love for creativity and collaboration.
Beginning in San Francisco, Jesse studied Graphic Design at the Academy of Art University while apprenticing at a screen-print shop, where he focused in graphic application techniques. These skills led to freelance opportunities with brands like Burton Snowboards, Converse, and JanSport, and eventually an in-house design role at Levi’s.
At Levi’s, Jesse expanded his skill set, blending strategy, design, and production techniques to bring unique projects to life. He contributed to collaborations with iconic brands and artists including Disney, Peanuts, Rolling Stone, Hello Kitty, and many more. These experiences cemented his passion for teamwork and creative partnerships.
Jesse’s journey then led him to Santa Cruz, CA, where he became Lead Graphic Designer at NHS Inc., the largest producer of skateboarding products, apparel, and accessories. There, he managed seasonal graphic collections, directed in-house and freelance artists, and played a pivotal role in some of the company’s most successful collaborations and campaigns, contributing to multiple record-breaking product sales in the brand’s 50-year history.
Following NHS Inc., Jesse took on the role of Lead Graphic Designer at Uninterrupted, the sports lifestyle brand founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter. His work included managing graphics for seasonal collections, events, and retail support, as well as helping to create graphics and launch apparel collections for The Shop podcast and Emmy Award-winning HBO series.
As a contract Art Director at Universal Music’s subsidiary label, Cinematic Records, Jesse collaborated with creatives, sales, and marketing teams to launch projects for emerging artists. His adaptability and vision ensured every campaign delivered exceptional results.
Now working as a freelance designer, Jesse continues to bring his skills to a range of clients, including Vice Media, Market Studios, Santa Cruz Skateboards, O'Neill, Coney Island Picnic, and Creature Skateboards. Jesse approaches every project with excitement, creativity, and purpose.
